OSSA Project status - March 2013. The development of the OSSA Sea Spray Source Function has been completed and partly evaluated. The implementation in ECHAM-SALSA has started. Workshop invitations are being sent out by email.

OSSA Mid-Term Review: 13 Feb. 2013. Was succesfully conducted at ESA-ESRIN in Frascati (I).  The OSSA sea spray source function has been formuated in terms of wave paramters and includes effects of wind speed, SST and salinity. The projects moves to the next phase of implementation of the OSSA SSSF in ECHAM-SALSA to estimate effects of SSA on the Earth radiative balance (direct and indirect effects)

OSSA Project Status - August 2012. Technical Spesification is under revision for final delivery in early August. Work on SSSF has started. The latest main event was the participation in the Marine Aerosol Workshop: Production mechanism, number concentration, size distribution, chemical composition, and optical properties of sea spray aerosols, Raleigh, NC, USA, 4-6 June 2012 with an invited key note (the only one) to introduce the subject and a poster on OSSA.

OSSA Project Status - March 2012. All sub-contracts have been signed. The OSSA flyer is in preparation. The first draft of the Requirements Baseline (RB)  Document has been circulated for comments from the partners. A questionnaire has been prepared and circulated to potential users. A first responses have been received.
